Junior Audio Visual Technician
Luxe Smart Homes are looking for a Junior Trainee Audio Visual Technician to join the team. Due to the company’s continuing growth, Luxe Smart Homes are planning on bringing a team member on board to support the team in further cementing the company’s position as premier choice for Home Technology consultancy and installation in the prime residential market in Surrey and the surrounding Home Counties.

The Position:

Joining the team involves:
· Working alongside a team of experienced AV Installation engineers for the professional integration of Home Automation, Home Cinema and Audio-Visual systems
· Installing of speakers, televisions, wireless access points and other equipment on site.
· Learning all cable terminations relating to the installs we carry out.
· Providing on-site installation assistance for AV Projects. This includes loading and unloading vans, unboxing and setting up equipment, pulling cables, keeping sites tidy, terminating cables and supporting the team with trouble shooting.
· Supporting the team in building system racks off site.
· Keeping the Workshop tidy and stock organised.
· Attending product training sessions to broaden product knowledge and keeping up to date with industry standards
Required Knowledge & Skills
· Passionate about a career in Smart Home Installations and enthusiastic about technology.
· Highly professional and demonstrate an excellent work ethic and ‘can do’ attitude.
· Have experience across first and second fix stages of cabling or electrics
· Electrical improver background or experienced across cabling, data cabling or cabling infrastructure
· Clean Driving License and own vehicle.
· Excellent communication skills
· Excellent timekeeper
· Computer literate and proficient in the Microsoft Office and Gmail.
· A strong desire to learn from others and integrate into team culture
· Keen and willing to learn about new products and deepen their understanding in programming
· Good with basic hand tools - Screwdrivers, Stanley knives, spirit levels etc.
· Keen eye and attention to detail
Minimum 2 years experience in a relevant trade.
This role would suit someone who is currently undertaking electrical studies at college and would require a minimum commitment of two days a week. We are also interested to hear from candidates who have completed their studies and are looking for a full-time role in AV.

Hours: 8am till 4pm
Location: The Luxe Smart Homes office is based in Cobham, Surrey but this role will be mainly on sites in Surrey, Berkshire and occasionally London.
Salary: £18k-£25k pa pro-rata (depending on experience)
